• Yes/No Questions Reporting: If the direct question has no question word, use if or whether to link the clause: 'Are you ready?' → She asked if I was ready.
• Deleting Auxiliaries (do/does/did): Delete do/does and shift the main verb to past simple; delete 'did' and shift the verb to past perfect (had + V3): 'Did you see Ahmad?' → He asked if I had seen Ahmad.
• Statement Word Order: The clause following if/whether must always be in affirmative/statement order: Subject + Verb.
